Paul Oakenfold would love to work with Dre

Paul Oaken fold is a Brittish producer who has helped many musicians including Mark Ronson, Tiesto and  David Guetta.  He also contributed to the music score for Bourne Identity  and other movies.  Below is the part of the interview where he mentions Dre.

You have worked with so many incredible artists your back catalogue is beyond impressive, but is there anyone you would love to work with in the future?

I would love to collaborate with Dr Dre. I just think it would be a really interesting collaboration to work with someone who is a pioneer in his world and comes up with these really creative beats.

  2. I would love to see these two collaborate It would be neat to see what they would create if they did. I got real excited when I heard that was listening to Kraftwerk and was hoping that it would influence his sound for the album. I think that Dre could create something good with that techno/electro sound. Electro was a sound created during the early years of Hip Hop in the early to mid 80s. (Newcleus Afrikka Baambata Planet Patrol) some really great stuff This was the era when hip hop was fun Dre first started out with this sound (World Class Wrecking Crew, Arabian Prince Fila Fresh Crew Egyptian Lover would be nice to see him revisit this sound and make it a little more modern) Just one of my pipe dreams JUST BURNED OUT ON TODAY's REPETATIVE SHIT

  3. Paul Oakenfold sucks and hasn't been relevant in the EDM scene for the longest time, if Dre were to make some records with someone from that side, I would much rather see Dre collaborate with someone much more interesting doing more musically interesting things.

To be blunt, collaborations are a dime a dozen, but the best kinds of collaborations are the ones where two boundaries-pushing artists and producers actually sit down together to do shit that nobody else even thought to do and execute it with both their talents behind the decks. A Dr. Dre x Paul Oakenfold collaboration would just have to end up being boring.
